Consideration of mechanical constraints for an optimal design of ferrite assisted flux-barriers synchronous reluctance machines
Abstract
This article aims to find an efficient and precise way to take into account mechanical stress constraints during the electromagnetic optimization of a 3-levels flux barriers ferrite assisted synchronous reluctance machines. Beside the wish to obtain the best shape of flux barriers leading to the highest performances, we have to insure the mechanical integrity of the structure especially at high speed functioning. The goal is to design efficient and robust machines able to reach any operating point, on both electromagnetic and mechanical points of view.
